Saw this guy on the street from Fast Boy Cycles a few days ago… remarkably nice townie, integrated racks, majority US-built parts. Very, very cool.

Solid 6 days of skiing over vacation… 3 at Squaw Valley, 2 at Sugar Bowl , 1 at Heavenly. Really wanted to make it to Kirkwood, but we were staying in Truckee, CA, which is about 1:30 away, so not really worth making the drive.
Phenomenal vacation, but it really tickles the urge to ski again.
Moots YBB for sale!
Early ’00s Moots YBB for sale. Frame is in great shape, with the normal scrapes to decals and tubing that a mountain bike will suffer. No dents or serious wounds.
Frame does not have disc tabs, but Moots will refurbish the frame and add tabs (and make it look like new) for around $300.
By Moots measurements, I believe the frame is a 21″ (it’s 21″ from the center of the BB to the top of the seat collar.)
Asking $1100 shipped for the frame.
Hollands City Commuter
1997 John Hollands ‘city commuter’ — light tourer built with provisions for front/rear racks for commuting purposes, VERY fast handling but no provisions for fenders (the owner was not a rain commuter.) Really wonderful, smooth bike, and beautifully finished.
I’ve heard from a couple of people now that John has started building frames again, perhaps not full-time, but at least taking commissions. It’s good to hear if true, his bikes were very well known in DC when I was working in a shop there as one of the finest builders you could find in the area.
Moots Vamoots and the NYC Century
Pulled 115mi on the Moots last Sunday, great, GREAT ride… really fun. First cyclocross race is this Saturday, wish me luck!
