I’m speechless.

This sounds distressingly tasty.  I’ve always been a fan of bread pudding, but I’ve never actually tried to make it.  Perhaps it’s worth a shot…

Sauerkraut!

Sauerkraut!, originally uploaded by sashae.

First batch of home-made, this one aged 3 weeks — I’ve left the rest of the batch in the crock to keep aging, but it’s pretty good right now. One onion, 2 heads of cabbage (one red, one white) juniper berries and salt. Delicious.

Fresh durian!

This was some sort of “special” durian — you normally see them hanging at fruit stands in Chinatown, but these had a blue ribbon on the bag. Apparently they’re some sort of special durian that they only get some time during the year, and they’re frozen for less long than the normal durian. Tasted really good, though it looks unappealing (and smells worse.) Kind of like banana cream rice pudding, but extra pungent.
