So, I sent my frame off to Jamie Swan at Centerport Cycles in Long Island, and miraculously… he realigned the bike! Head tube was realigned from 78.5degrees to 75 degrees, fork was re-raked from 20mm to 25mm. No visible damage other than slight wrinkling in the chrome. I get it back tomorrow. The De Rosa will live on! Pretty crazy…
So, I’m finally selling off my 1999 Aegis Aro Svelte, which served me as my primary road ride for many years. Really nice riding bike, and I’m sad to see it go. With a new project coming up, I had to make room — I’ve got a few other things up for auction now, as well.
Fortunately, I’m beginning to feel better after getting pranged last Thursday. Still having some headaches, and my shoulder (while more mobile) is still popping a bit, and painful when pushing or pulling with it. It’s definitely better, but I’ve got a ways to go. Already ordered a new helmet, so when I am feeling up for it, I should be good to go.
